Baker attempted to collect the bounty, executing his signature "Heart Punch" finisher on Fuller. Terry rushed to the ring and ran off his former partner, rescuing Fuller from further injury.
● - In a match which took place later in the evening, Terry "The Hulk" Boulder (replacing the injured Ron Fuller) beat NWA World Champion Harley Race by disqualification due to the interference of Ox Baker. This was Terry's first-ever shot at a World Championship.
